Zen Bird Monthly Mantra: I am a compassionate being. I choose to find empathy within my heart space and see the world through the eyes of another.
"Compassion can be put into practice if one recognizes the fact that every human being is a member of humanity and the human family regardless of differences in religion, culture, color and creed. Deep down there is no difference." - Dalai Lama
Compassion lies in the heart space of our beating soul, accepting others with open arms and serving through love. We seem to suffer from being able to reach out to another human being and gently look them in the eyes and say, “I care about you.” We shy away from the richest form of connection because it is, at times, easier to live in denial. Denial of the poverty, aching, pain and the suffering happening around us. Within us. Through us. We are scared of that vulnerable place of pain -- that weakness, that sadness. But that weakness brings us down to the depths of compassion for another. We are all one, relying on each other to find belonging, acceptance, and love. We are aching for open warmth from our neighbor. We are longing for radical intimacy with our partners trying to, just for a moment, see it from our view, and feel it from our heartstrings. We are yearning for tender compassion across borders.
Our love is expansive. It is renewable and unlimited. We can be expressive in our love, generous in our love, BIG in our love. We have it within us. We can HEAL with our love. We can soften with our love. We grow with our LOVE. We trust with our EMPATHY. We hope in our KINDNESS. We connect in our COMPASSION. Will will change the entire world with our hearts and together we will beat on, soul level and radically alive.
Find your big love today, find it within your soul and let it consume your heart. Let it enchant your being. Let it soften your anger and harmonize your relationships. Let the walls down, fears cease, and boundaries vanish. Find your compassion today and let your love flow. You don’t have to ration your love. Believe me, your heart has the space.
